from the designer
It is said there are seasons to a life, and each season brings change.
Change is where I thrive. Change is where my strength shines through; moving cities, starting a new job, building a business, creating a family.
The ever-evolving and ever-moving natural and constructed landscape of Vancouver has been my beautiful home for nearly two decades. In those near two decades, my husband and I have occupied seven dwellings, in seven distinct areas of Vancouver…. intentionally. Each home has brought upon itself a change of scenery, design and experience that has evolved my perspective, my experience and my inspiration.
As our lives transformed and our family grew, so have the spaces that appealed to us. Every few years, the draw for something new to endeavour upon, and create a new environment from, would grow; a yearning to explore what more is out there. And, as though scripted by intention, we would be propelled forward into the excitement of the unknown of calling a new neighbourhood and a new house, our "home". Each one of our seven spaces became another opportunity to explore my personal aesthetic of design, building on the foundations that came before it.
And now, from these foundations, from this building, SUKAVA DESIGN is the culmination. With this has come new branding, new marketing representation and new intention toward our projects, and, not of least, a renewed fervor for design.
The creative realm doesn't start and end with one vision, idea or project, it metamorphosizes itself amongst all visions, all ideas and all projects. As our multi-family projects remain the backbone of our practice, our custom high-end residential homes go through a strategically systemized process to create thoughtfully flawless, personalized dwellings.
Though change in life and style is ever constant and always welcome, what never waivers is why we design - "For those that are passionate about the way they live".
